Why is that my KML files are not downloading properly from the web server Web servers must be told what type of file they are providing. There are browsers such as the Firefox browser, which makes guesses on the type of file. The internet explorer and other browsers completely depend on MIME type settings of web server. If you are managing your web server then you must modify your own configuration. Or else you will have to contact the concerned website hosting service to make those changes.
Thinkpad We are extremely pleased to see strong worldwide demand for
Firefox 1.5, said Christopher Beard, vice president of products, at
Mozilla Corp. The recognition Firefox has received from such highly
respected outlets as CNET, PC Magazine, PC Pro, and PC
Professionell is a huge compliment to our worldwide
community of open source
contributors and consumer advocates who make Firefox
possible.
According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.
Microsoft To accelerate the adoption of Firefox, Mozilla has recently
unveiled the second phase of Firefox Flicks, its community-driven
marketing campaign for the browser. The Firefox Flicks Ad Contest
encourages professionals, students, and aspiring creatives in film
and TV production, Web design, advertising and animation to submit
high-quality 30-second ads about the browser. This contest builds
on the first phase of the campaign, which encouraged Firefox users
worldwide to submit video testimonials about their experience with
Firefox. The Firefox Flicks campaign continues the innovative
approach to grassroots marketing that began with the user-driven
two page New York Times ad in Nov. 2004 for the launch of Firefox
1.0. Information about Firefox Flicks is available online at

About Mozilla Corporation
Whata s happening When a website is requested through a web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc), the request is first sent to the computer's Internet Service Provider (ISP) which contacts the domaina s name servers to look up the location (IP address) of the web hosting server. Caching occurs when the web hosting server at the IP address location no longer hosts the website, but a visitor's web browser still attempts to connect to that server to retrieve the web page. This happens because the web browser and the computer's operating system keeps a list of already looked up IP addresses, and it refers to that list for future IP address look ups. ISPs also keep their own IP address list as well. The purpose of this is to speed up web page loading times, and to reduce the traffic on the Internet. Unfortunately, this can lead to delays during name server changes. The images below shows what happens when there is no caching and what happens when there is caching.
