Suit Disputes Ownership Of Land In Deal

Laptop Computers Lee Brothers acquired the property in September 1986 and has paid taxes on the property for at least 15 years, according to court documents. In addition, the suit states, Lee Brothers' deed for the property is filed with the Burlington County Clerk's Office.

Katz runs the company with 22 paid employees and 300 volunteers who give technical support to new users and are compensated with free memberships (remember those days at AOL ). He rents space in two AT&T data centers, one in Manhattan, another inSecaucus, N.J., with $700, 000 worth of computer equipment, end servers from Dell Computer and five IBM Unix servers. The $2 million annual payroll is his biggest expense.

Laptop Computer "The plaintiff brings this action ... to remove the cloud placed upon the title to the lands and premises which are the subject matter of this action by the defendants," the suit states.

Notebooks Louis A. Petroni, an attorney who represents DeMarco, said yesterday he could not comment on the suit because he had not seen it.

Lenovo An attorney for Lee Brothers, Michael J. Fasano, could not be reached for comment yesterday.

Hard Drive Abbott Lee and his brother, Stephen V. Lee III, run Lee Brothers Inc.

Travelstar The sixth-generation firm operates an 1,800-acre cranberry and blueberry farm.

Gateway A.R. DeMarco boasted the third-largest cranberry operation in the country before it ceased harvesting two years ago.

Laptop Parts The New Jersey Conservation Foundation's purchase of the DeMarco property marks the state's largest private nonprofit conservation sale and will ensure the preservation of tracts that cover 14 square miles through Bass River, Tabernacle and Woodland.

Software Richard Ryan, the foundation's chief operating officer, is optimistic the dispute between Lee Brothers and A.R. Demarco will be resolved.

Hard Drives "We are aware this is an issue that we're going to need to resolve," Ryan said. "We're very focused on being a very good neighbor with all of our neighbors, so I'm sure this is something that will be resolved in a way that everyone is happy with."

Electronics The Somerset County-based nonprofit conservation group agreed to buy the land in November 2002 for $12 million. The foundation raised $5 million for the closing and said it will fund the r-mainder of the purchase through loans.

Canon The tract connects five state-owned properties, the Wharton, Bass River, Greenwood, Penn and Brendan T. Byrne state forests. It is home to a number of endangered or threatened species such as the Pine Bar-rens tree frog and bald eagle.

Desktop Pc The group has said it plans eventually to allow the 800 acres of DeMarco cranberry bogs to return to their natural state.
