Staff Beginning and ending in Bimini, the inaugural Bahamas Wahoo Championship (BWC) represents the largest and most organized wahoo competition in the world. With five legs in four Bahamas destinations, the series promises competitive fishing, fast action and beautiful venues.
Laptop Battery "The Championship is designed to foster a competitive angling atmosphere in pursuit of a species of fish which is not endangered and cannot be harvested commercially," says Raul Miranda, tournament director of the Bimini Big Game Fishing Club. "The wahoo is an outstanding game fish, reputedly the fastest in the ocean. And the Bahamas is known worldwide as a prime location to catch them."
"We're spreading word about the great wahoo fishing, giving anglers a reason to visit the Bahamas from November through February. We've extended the boating and fishing season by four months, " Miranda says. Thinkpad Formatted much like the highly successful Bahamas Billfish Championship series, the BWC will recognize those anglers who accumulate the most points over the series of five events. Participation in all five events is not necessary to win the BWC.
