Tempeh Paprikas with Tahini

Ingredients

  • 2 tb Sesame oil, toasted
  • 1 lb Tempeh, cut to 32 triangles
  • 2 lg Onions, chopped
  • 1 ts Soy sauce
  • 2 tb Hungarian paprika
  • 1 tb Cider vinegar
  • 2 c Vegetable stock
  • 4 tb Tahini
  • 2 tb Dark miso
  • Chopped scallions to garnish

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 300F.
  2. Heat oil in large skillet.
  3. Saute onions & paprika till golden.
  4. Add 1 1/2 cups stock & miso.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Add tempeh, reduce heat & simmer 35 to 40 minutes.

  1. Blend soy sauce, vinegar & tahini with remaining stock.
  2. Add to the skillet, stirring as it thickens.
  3. Be careful not to let it boil.
